SBJ individual members can access the full text of the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB) back to Vol. 64 (1986) through ScienceDirect.

To activate your access to the journal, you will need your membership number in 6 digits. If you have forgotten your membership number, please contact the Society Business Office ().

1. Visit https://www.sciencedirect.com/jbiosc/activate/member.
   Enter your membership number and click "Continue". 
   
   
   
    
2. The next  step will allow you to associate an existing ScienceDirect user profile to this subscription.

   NOTE: If you have associated your existing ScienceDirect User-Profile to your Society Access, you must type into your Internet Browser, the Society Site’s URL (http://www.sciencedirect.com/jbiosc) to access the journal.
   
   The contents of the Society Home-Page (http://www.sciencedirect.com/jbiosc) will NOT be accessible via the ScienceDirect Home-Page (www.sciencedirect.com). You must log-off each session completely to access your other ScienceDirect user-entitlements. The Society Site is supported on a different platform to ScienceDirect.

   【For New Users】
   Continue to the registration screen that will allow you to create a new user profile. You will be asked to fill out a form and choose a password.  A unique username will then be assigned.
   
   NOTE: Do NOT use special characters, such as ö, ä, æ when entering your personal details into the profile form. 
   
   Click "Optional Information & Alert Settings" to receive an e-mail alert  when a new issue is published online.

3. After registration, click "Login" in the upper-right hand corner of the Society’s site (http://www.sciencedirect.com/jbiosc).

5. Click "Browse" in the menu bar on the top.
   
   
   
   
    
6. You can access the full text of the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB) back to Vol. 64 (1986).
