General review process


All manuscripts submitted are checked editorially before review. If the manuscript is retained for review, the Editor-in-Chief assigned an editor, who in turn selects ad hoc reviewers to review it.

The whole review process will proceed through the Elsevier Editorial System (EES). Reviewers will find the journal weblink and their username/password combination in the Reviewer invitation letter sent by EES.

System requirements


Browser: Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Netscape 7.0 or higher, Mozilla 1.7 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or higher. Mac OS X users may also use Internet Explorer 5.2 or Safari 3.0 or higher.
PDF viewer: Adobe Viewer 6 or higher, Adobe Acrobat 6 or higher. You can download the free Adobe Reader 9 here.
 

NOTE: Since EES uses pop-ups, we recommend that you disable your Internet browser’s pop-up blocker while viewing your journal’s site. If you have administrative rights on your computer, please add ees.elsevier.com to your list of trusted websites. Taking these steps should ensure that EES runs smoothly while you are using the application. For more details on how to configure your Internet browser to enable or disable pop-ups, please refer to the built-in Help function included in your browser.
