• For members in Japan

Membership Renewal Invoice will be sent early December, 2009. Please make payment by December 31, 2009. Acceptable methods of payment include: postal or bank transfer and cash (accepted only in the Society Business Office).

For members using automatic bank transfer, membership fees (Active membership: 9,800 JPY/Student membership: 5,000 JPY) will be automatically withdrawn from your account on April 23(Fri), 2010.

If you want to cancel your membership, please contact us () to advise us of your decision to cancel.

You can update your email/fax/mail information online (available only in Japanese) at https://www.seibutsu.org/login/ssl/login.htm. If you have a language problem, give us up-to-date email/fax/mail information.

  • For members outside Japan

Membership Renewal Invoice will be sent to current members on November 5, 2009 both by airmail and e-mail. Please return a completed form to the Society office by November 20, 2009. Past members of the Society can renew their membership by submitting  Membership Renewal Form.

To receive members’ free online access to the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB)  in 2010, be sure to make due payment by December 15, 2009. Please note that your might not be able to access the full text of JBB on January 1, 2009 if payment is not made by the due date.

Payment can be in the form of credit card (Visa, MasterCard, EUROCARD), or bank transfer.

  • For new members

Go to  Join SBJ and join SBJ by submitting an application form with  payment to the Society office. Once we have received your membership payment for 2010, you will be issued with a membership number that will enable you to access full text of the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering. 

Print and Online Subscriptions

SBJ individual (Active/Student/Overseas) memberships automatically include an online subscription to the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering. Print subscription to JBB is available with additional cost (5,000 JPY for domestic members;10,000 JPY by Airmail /5,000 JPY by Surface Mail for overseas members).

Complementary copies of Seibutsu-kogaku Kaishi (in Japanese; 12 issues/per) are available upon request.
