JBB Editorial Boards are pleased to announce that the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB) will launch Article in Press service on the ScienceDirect platform from July, 2009.

JBB Articles in Press are accepted, peer-reviewed research papers published online in manuscript form before they are copyedited and published in the printed issue of the journal. Articles in Press are published automatically within a few days of acceptance, thus giving the authors and readers an instant, subscription-based access to the newest research and dramatically reducing time to publication.

When the final article is assigned to an issue of the journal, the "Article in Press" version will be removed from this section and will appear in the associated published journal issue. The date it was first made available online will be carried over.

Please be aware that although "Articles in Press" do not have all bibliographic details available yet, they can already be cited using the year of online availability and the DOI as follows: Author(s), Article Title, Journal (Year), DOI.
