The Society for Biotechnology, Japan (SBJ) is pleased to announce the launch of The DaSilva Award to honor a young Asian researcher who shows promise of outstanding achievements in the field of microbial biotechnology in the near future.

This award was established through a donation of the late Professor Edgar J. DaSilva, Former Director, Division of Life Sciences, UNESCO, Paris.

Eligibility Criteria and Nomination forms

Nominations should be submitted to the Society Office () by March 16 (Fri.), 2012. The e-mail subject line should be “The DaSilva Award Nomination”.
