JBB: 2010 Impact Factor -1.707
The 2010 impact factor of the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB) has been released by Thomson Reuters ISI. The journal’s new impact factor is 1.707, slight decrease from the previous year, but we are pleased to announce that the journal's five-year impact factor is 2.312, which increased by 0.138 points from the rate of 2.174 in 2009.
Much effort has been made by former Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Hisao Ohtake with the support of dedicated editors and reviewers. The number of submission was 535 in 2010, which increased by 10.5% from 484 in 2009. JBB is continuously gaining attention as a leading journal in the field of biotechnology and applied microbiology.
Prof. Masahiro Takagi took over the role as Editor-in-Chief on June 1, 2011, and has been working energetically to further improve the journal. We appreciate all the support from editors, reviewers and authors.
