We have received a warm-hearted message from Prof. Eunki Kim, the President of the Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (KSBB). The Society for Biotechnology, Japan has developed the collaboration with KSBB since 1998.

Message from KSBB President

Dear Our Colleagues,

I am embarrassed and saddened very much to hear of the unprecedented earthquake and the tsunami that struck Japan recently. On behalf of many Korean colleagues in KSBB, I would like to convey deep commiseration to our dearest colleagues in Japan and extend the sadness to all the people in Japan who lost their beloved family members and friends in the catastrophe.

I would also like to say that the Koreans, who feel the Japanese as the closest neighbors, are all in deep grief and ready to help you to cope with the current crisis together in the earliest possible time. Besides, to see how the entire Japan and its people got united under such an unexpected crisis in such a courageous and orderly manner makes me and many Koreans feel the greatest respect again for you. We will pray for Japan and all the Japanese with our fingers crossed.

Best wishes,

Eunki Kim
