The editors of the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB) are pleased to announce a new contest to select the best cover image for volume 108 (July to December 2009, 6 issues). Please send us your best and most beautiful scientific images for inclusion in the cover image contest.

  • Images should be either in .tif, .gif or .jpg format
  • Resolution should be at least 300 dpi. Size should be 15 cm x 20 cm
  • Deadline for entries is May 20, 2009

Please send entries to  with "Cover Contest" in the subject line and your full address and a short description of the image.

The winners of the contest will be announced and notified by email by the end of May 2009. All other participants will receive an email with the results as soon as possible thereafter.
