2019 SBJ Awards – Winners Announced
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Societ for Biotechnology, Japan (SBJ) Awards for 2019.
The 2019 Young Asian Biotechnologist Prize is awarded to Li Tan, Assistant Professor at Chengdu Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences for his outstanding achievements in the field of biotechnology.

The DaSilva Award is awarded to Han Xiao, Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in recognition of her work in the field of microbial biotechnology.

Excellent Paper Award of SBJ is awarded to the authors of the papers published in the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB). Those papers were selected from all articles published in the volumes of 125 and 126 of JBB, based on its outstanding quality in both presentation and scientific contribution and for its impact on the field of biotechnology.

Award recipients will be honored at the Awards Ceremony on Monday, September 16, 2019 during the 71st SBJ Annual Meeting to be held at Okayama University, Japan.
