How to renew your membership

【Oversea Membership (For members who live outside Japan)】

To renew your membership for 2026, please return the form you received by email by December 12, 2025.
 

【Active/Student Membership (For members who live in Japan)】

Domestic members will receive an invoice with a payment slip (furikomi-hyo) by post early December. Please make payment using the payment slip by December 31, 2025.
If you have not paid your 2024 membership dues, you will receive an invoice for the two-year membership dues.

  • For members using automatic bank transfer, membership dues (Active membership: 11,000 JPY/Student membership: 5,000 JPY) will be automatically withdrawn from your account on April 23, 2026 (tentative).
     
  • If you do not use the payment slip (furikomi-hyo), please make payment into the following accounts (handling charge required):

Please note that annual dues (Active membership: 11,000 JPY/Student membership: 5,000JPY/ Oversea membership: 12,000) are required to receive the full benefits of membership, including free online access to the Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering (JBB).

A print subscription to JBB is available at an additional cost (5,000 JPY for domestic members; 10,000 JPY by Airmail or 5,000 JPY by Surface Mail for overseas members). ⇒JBB Print Subscription
