Our Mission
=The Study of Bioscience and Bioengineering=
The society aims to contribute to the development of science by providing a means for the eminent research studies on theories and practical applications of biotechnology to be disseminated through all individuals holding interest in the field.

Activities
- Publishes the society's official Journals (Journal of Bioscience and Bioengineering and a Japanese journal, Seibutsu-kogaku Kaishi) and other scientific books.
- Holds scientific meetings and symposia.
- Maintains contact and cooperates with other related societies both within Japan and overseas.
- Encourages research and presents awards for research findings, etc.
- Ensures the future of basic scientific research by providing training and development opportunities for students and young investigators, and by keeping the Japanese public informed on the importance of biotechnology.
- Carries out other necessary activities involved in achieving the goals mentioned above.
